Recently I had the chance to spend a couple of days in Bologna, Northern Italy. The center is so full of history and of course, the food was just amazing. I walked around the center taking pictures, visiting the International Museum and Library of Music of Bologna, where I was not allowed to carry around my camera (although no question about a smart phone). Nevertheless, they had a wonderful display of old instruments, notations and  books, and one could get an idea about collaborations between musicians and music scientists in a time, when traveling was quite an adventure. Then I went to the Bologna Museum of Modern Art, which has an interesting collection of recent works, and in contrast to the international music library visitors were allowed to take  and use their cameras in the museum. I am still thinking of what I saw there: The connections between different artists and times, pieces, materials, subjects and contexts. Bologna is definitely a place to visit again and explore more.
